Job Vacancy – Volunteer Recruitment and Training Officer (Ref: fsct 01)

This post is funded by The Frieda Scott Charitable Trust. The Volunteer Recruitment and Training Officer will play a key role in developing the service we provide across South Lakeland.

You will be responsible for the recruitment of new volunteers, as well as, the ongoing support and development of our volunteer teams.

Location: Windermere or Kendal site. Travel will be necessary within the district of South Lakeland.

Hours: 18.5 hours per week. Normal working day 9am to 5pm but could be required to work some evenings or Saturdays.

Salary: £23,000 FTE (£11,500 actual) plus pension contribution.

Duration: The post is funded for two years.

Contract : Fixed term

The Volunteer Recruitment and Training officer is a key role within our service and will have the responsibility for:

  • developing and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy for the service.

  • planning and organising recruitment campaigns.

  • training and supporting all volunteers for the Citizens Advice South Lakes.

  • providing on-going training support to volunteers/ paid staff.
